杂志简介

Flight International 的创始人和首任编辑是 Stanley Spooner。他也是 The Automotor Journal（最初名为The Automotor Journal and Horseless Vehicle) 的创建者和编辑。从1900年左右开始，该杂志有一个单独的章节涉及航空和航空事务。1908年4月5日出版的 The Automotor Jornal 还刊登过莱特兄弟（Wright Brothers）制造的飞机专利图纸图。Stanley Spooner 通过他的朋友 Griffith Brewe 与他们保持联系。最终，Stanley Spooner 决定只出版与飞行有关的杂志，因此 Flight International 杂志成为 The Automotor Journal 的姊妹刊，也是世界上历史最悠久的航空期刊。
